Community

Local economic benefits, job opportunities and long-term stability sit at the heart of our project planning processes.

How do local communities benefit?

We understand the lay of the land and know that earning trust starts with showing up, listening and doing what we say we’ll do.

On a project-by-project basis, we work with the community and local council to develop Community Benefits Programs.

We back local businesses and prioritise local suppliers, offering work opportunities across a wide range of skills including civil construction, landscaping, labour hire, surveying, quarries, steel fabricators, general contractors, lighting and electrical contractors, crane operators, security contractors, hydrological consulting, traffic management, geotechnical contractors, construction site / HSE equipment installers and more.

Our projects strive to benefit local communities by enhancing grid stability, reducing Australia’s reliance on fossil fuels and supporting renewable energy integration. This can lead to improved energy reliability, reduced environmental impact and lower electricity costs in the long term.

How do we work with Traditional Owners?

At Enervest, we engage with Traditional Owners and First Nations communities from the earliest stages of project development, recognising their deep cultural connections to Country.

Our approach is guided by Commonwealth and State guidelines, ensuring respectful, meaningful, and productive engagement with local First Nations communities within the region of the project.

We aim to protect and enhance cultural heritage and create opportunities for involvement throughout the project lifecycle. We develop tailored engagement plans that foster dialogue, support capacity-building, and explore opportunities for economic participation. While each engagement is unique, we remain committed to listening, learning, and working collaboratively in ways that acknowledge cultural values and contribute to positive, lasting outcomes.
